Terms of Service

1. Agreement to terms

By accessing or using ClockSplit ("Service"), operated by Gobvantage Technologies ("Gobvantage", "we", "us", or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of service

ClockSplit is a time-tracking tool designed for freelance professionals. It allows you to log time sessions rounded to the nearest half-hour, and generate invoice line items for use with third-party invoicing software. The Service is available in a free tier and a paid Pro tier.

3. Accounts

You may use ClockSplit as a guest without creating an account. Guest data is stored locally in your browser and is not backed up to our servers.

If you create an account, you are responsible for maintaining the security of your credentials. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access at hello@gobvantage.com. We are not liable for losses resulting from unauthorized use of your account.

Your ClockSplit account credentials are shared across Gobvantage products. Signing in or out of ClockSplit only affects ClockSplit — it does not affect your session on other Gobvantage products.

4. Pro subscriptions and payments

Pro and Lifetime plans are available for purchase through Polar.sh, our third-party payment processor. By purchasing a plan you agree to Polar's terms and our billing terms below:

• Pro Monthly ($3/mo): Billed monthly. You may cancel at any time. Access continues until the end of the current billing period.
• Lifetime ($49): One-time payment granting permanent Pro access. No recurring charges.

Refunds are handled at our discretion. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us at hello@gobvantage.com within 14 days of the charge.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any regulations.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service or its infrastructure.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to extract the source code of the Service.
• Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to access or interact with the Service.
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.

6. Intellectual property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Gobvantage Technologies and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any part of the Service without our express written permission.

You retain all rights to the time-tracking data you enter into ClockSplit. We do not claim ownership of your data.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure. You use the Service at your own risk.

ClockSplit generates invoice line items as a convenience tool. You are solely responsible for reviewing and verifying all billing information before sending invoices to your clients. We are not liable for billing errors or disputes arising from your use of the generated output.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Gobvantage Technologies shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including loss of profits, data, or goodwill — arising from your use of or inability to use the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $50 USD, whichever is greater.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we determine violates these Terms or is otherwise harmful to other users, Gobvantage, or third parties.

You may delete your account at any time by contacting us at hello@gobvantage.com. Upon deletion, your stored data will be removed from our systems within 30 days.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service will be resolved in a court of competent jurisdiction in the United States.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll post the updated version here with a new date. Continued use of ClockSplit after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. For material changes, we'll make reasonable efforts to notify registered users by email.
